The goal of the Bauer’s Fatherhood Program is to help fathers understand the significant role they play in the lives of their children. This program is open to men involved in services provided by the Department of Child Services (DCS) to ensure the impact had on their children is positive.

Through this program, home-based family specialists work with fathers, supporting them as they engage in services aimed to improve the safety, stability and well-being of their children. The objective is to strengthen the relationships between the father and his children and improve the father’s engagement in the children’s welfare cases to achieve the best long-term outcomes. This is accomplished through individual case management, education, supervised visits and connecting fathers to vital community resources.
