Our Board of Directors is tasked with determining the strategic direction for the organization and providing oversight for the organization’s progress. The board is responsible for defining Bauer’s mission and purpose, and ensuring dollars entrusted to Bauer are used to fulfill that mission. All decisions made by the board are done so with the community’s best interest in mind.

Policy Council is the governing body of Bauer Head Start and is comprised of parents or guardians of children who are currently enrolled in Head Start as well as community representatives. The primary function of Policy Council is to act as a voice of the parents in making major decisions for Head Start. This includes reviewing, participating in or voting on changes to Head Start policies and financial reports.
