Bauer Family Resources has been serving the youngest members of our communities and their families for more than 50 years! In fact, when President Lyndon B. Johnson announced the launch of Project Head Start from the Rose Garden in 1965, Bauer Family Resources was one of the few organizations in the nation to be selected for this historic project.
The original 8-week summer programs were developed by individual communities to meet local needs with the goal of providing vulnerable preschool children and their families with comprehensive services to help them be ready for school. After 50 years, these core values remain unchanged.
